Meet the Team: Erica Furr

Are you ready to meet another member of the INT team? Then, meet Erica Furr. Erica is a Consultant Manager at INT Technologies. We recently caught up with Erica and discussed how she began working in the technology staffing industry, her favorite thing about working with clients and staff, and why she continues to make her career with INT.

What got you into technology staffing?technology staffing industry
Prior to working in technology staffing, I worked in the customer service industry. During my career in customer service, I met one of the Senior Account Manager’s at INT. He told me what they were looking for at INT, gave me an insightful background of the position, and clarified what I needed to know about the technology staffing industry. At the time, I was in search of an opportunity where I could grow my career. Through meeting one of our Senior Account Managers, I received an offer to work at INT. At first, I was working part-time, and I found that I really enjoyed the schedule and the opportunity of having a great work-life balance. I soon became a full-time employee and I’ve been working with INT ever since.

Technology has always been a large part of my life while growing up and I had always been curious about the technology industry. Working in technology staffing has been a great way to learn more about it. I really enjoy hearing about different technology and the constant advancements of the industry from our consultant employees. Specifically, I enjoy hearing about what they do in their projects and what role the technology plays throughout. I have always found it interesting and enjoyable to see our consultant employees so passionate about what they do.

What do you find the most exciting about working with clients and staff on their technology?
The personal aspect of my job is what I find the most exciting about working with clients and staff. In my role of Consultant Management, I work with and talk to so many people and I’m able to create great relationships. In our current environment where many are working remote, it’s not feasible to meet face-to-face with consultants and clients, so creating a personal connection is a little more difficult. However, through many phone calls and emails we are seeing that it’s possible to create and maintain relationships with those we have worked with, and it has been great.

Maintaining relationships created with clients and staff is always exciting. I have had consultant employees come back and work with me many times and it’s great to pick up where you left off when seeing or hearing from them again. The connections created within a work environment is always exciting because once you get to know someone and their wants and needs, you know exactly what is best for them in their technology career.IT recruiter

What is it about INT that makes you want to come into work every day?
The work environment at INT is amazing. I have worked from home prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has been a wonderful experience so far. I am able to maintain a great work-life balance and I am able to get in touch with all of my coworkers easily. The staff at INT is very supportive and communicable and they all want everyone to thrive in their careers. Ideally, this has been the best work environment for both me and my family. I have really enjoyed growing my career with INT.
