What got you into technology staffing?
My career in technology staffing began because of a connection I had with a Consultant Manager at INT. She informed me she was transitioning into Account Management and asked if I might be interested in her role. I was looking to get back into the workforce after being at home raising children for the past 10 years.
My previous work experience was in banking, credit, and real estate with an emphasis on the administration and operations side of the businesses. With my prior experience, I was a natural fit as a Consultant Manager. Working in technology staffing, I have learned so much about technology and different tech skills and skillsets required for specific technology jobs, and it has increased my interest in the industry. Over the last eight years I’ve been with INT, there has been a huge growth in the technology industry, so there is always something new to learn.
Currently, as a Consultant Manager, I support two of our Account Managers. I track placements, start and end dates and extensions among other specifications that offer support for them to succeed. The biggest part of my job is supporting consultant employees’ questions and needs. On a daily basis, I am in contact with our consultants to check in. I really enjoy these interactions and creating relationships with our consultants. I miss being able to make many of these connections in person and look forward to doing that again once Covid restrictions are lifted.
What do you think is the most exciting about working with clients and staff on their technology?
Something I find very enjoyable and exciting is the daily interactions I have with consultant employees and the INT staff. Each of these interactions brings an opportunity for different challenges and learning experiences. As I mentioned previously, I’ve really enjoyed learning about different technologies as well as learning about the dynamics of employee placement.
My role as a consultant manager has also proved to be rewarding during my time at INT. My role is to act as a point of endless support, and I genuinely enjoy helping our account managers, recruiters and consultant employees throughout the whole employment and hiring process.
What is it about INT that makes you want to come into work every day?
I enjoy working with our back office team and the account managers I support. We are a group of seasoned professionals that bring a lot of knowledge and ability to our roles. We work well as a team, and I find it refreshing that each one of us shares in our dedication to the end result. I also enjoy working with INT as a whole. As a company, INT offers an exceptional work-life balance and tremendous support for all their employees.
