Meet the Team: Kyle Skidmore

Meet Kyle Skidmore! He is a Senior Technical Recruiter at INT Technologies. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Kyle to discuss how he got into technology staffing, the excitement of recruiting and working with clients, and why he makes his career with INT.

What got you into technology staffing?
I was a candidate for a staffing agency when I graduated college. I wasn’t completely sure where I wanted my career to go at that time, so the agency sent me on two interviews with two different clients. I waited about a week for feedback and didn’t receive any news about moving forward. The agency I was with saw how hungry and consistent I was and that I was eager to succeed in everything I did, so they offered me an interview for a position working internally in their company. tech staffing

From there, I interviewed with the staffing agency and received an offer. The position was a perfect mixture of my bachelor’s degree, which was Communication and IT. Once I started working in technology, I grew to love it. I’m very happy that my career started in this industry.

What do you think is the most exciting about working with clients and staff on their technology?
The most exciting aspect of working in technology is that it’s always changing. When I think I know a specific technology, it gets updated or it changes. It keeps me on my toes and I’m constantly learning. Along with this, I love how a company can be using the same technology as a different company, but they utilize it in a very different way. Or it’s the other way around where two companies are using different technologies for the same purpose. It’s amazing to talk with clients and see just how versatile technologies are.

It’s also exciting to talk to a company and find out what their needs are and being able to deliver a strategy that not only makes them happy, but also make the consultants happy. Finding a candidate a job that fits them and the client is always exciting. When it comes to recruiting, it’s all about listening to the candidate and the client and finding the best match for both. It’s great seeing that I can make someone’s day by getting them their dream job, whether it’s finding someone a contract job or finding their forever home within a company.

It’s awesome when I talk to a client about a new software they want and gather their requirements. This gives us the ability to find the right staff for the project. Seeing the app come to fruition is part of what I love and touches more on what I find fulfilling about this job. I’ve actually even used both a website and mobile app that my candidates have built for clients!

What is it about INT that makes you want to come into work every day?
The real question is, “what isn’t keeping me from coming into work every day?” Basically, everything about INT makes me want to come into work every day. Even though we work remotely, there is still a great work culture. It still feels as if we are all in an office and working together. For example, if I need to reach out to someone or quickly get an answer to something, everyone is a text, email, or call away. Everyone at INT is tenured, so everyone works professionally, responsibly, and effectively.

The management is also incredible as they always show that they have faith in you and respect you along with everything that you do. Everyone within INT is also very receptive to suggestions and we are always trying to improve our skills and make each other better. Our back office is also so supportive in everything we do. They will contribute to reformatting and adjusting resumes, reach out to our consultant managers, and make sure our consultants are being taken care of after we place them. The employees and management at INT truly want everyone to succeed.
