Meet the Team: Rhonda Rutledge

Meet Rhonda Rutledge INT! Rhonda is the Senior Vice President of Technical Recruiting. She co-founded INT Technologies in March of 2000 and has been responsible for management and all recruiting activities. We had the fantastic opportunity to sit down with Rhonda and find out how she got into technology staffing, the excitement of working with clients and staff, and why she makes her career with INT.

What got you into technology staffing?
When I first got into technology, I was a software developer. I did this for a few years before going into the industry of technology staffing. I was introduced to this industry by a technical recruiter that I was talking to about a programming job. We had a great conversation about technology staffing, and she thought I would excel in technical recruiting because I enjoyed working with people. From there, I was recruited into her company as a recruiter.

I was a technical recruiter for a number of years, and I worked with INT’s president, Chris Knott. From there, I co-founded INT with Chris. We decided that I would handle all of the recruiting and he would handle sales. We really wanted to create a company that was based on integrity. We had noticed that many larger technology staffing firms were not in fact client focused, and we wanted to create a company that serviced clients in a better way.

Once INT started to grow, we began adding staff. I built a recruiting team of senior recruiters that were very skilled and experienced. With growing our recruiting team, we were also growing our values and managing those values throughout the years. INT grew quickly, and it is still growing today.

What do you think is exciting about working with clients and staff on their technology?
The most exciting part about INT is working with the clients and candidates. We are here to alleviate their technology staffing pain. Our clients are in a place where they really need the best people to solve their problems, and that’s where we come in. For me, it’s exciting to find the right people, the needle in the haystack, the person who makes a difference. On the other hand, it is also very exciting finding the perfect fit for the candidate. Managing and helping them in their technology career with a position that fits their needs perfectly is one of the greatest parts of this job.

Working in the technology staffing industry is never dull or boring. There are so many different technologies I get to work with. I also work with clients across several industries, regions, and technologies. It’s always changing and moving, and I continue to learn new things every day. So many aspects of this industry excite me, but overall, it’s working with clients and candidates and giving them both the perfect match for their needs.

What is it about INT that makes you want to come into work every day?
My want to support so many different clients and really delivering what they need is what makes me want to come into work every day. It’s great being able to consistently display our values of committing to excellence and integrity for our clients, candidates, and staff. Delivering those values, working with people, and really making a difference is very important to me.

Another thing that makes me want to come into work every day is the people. INT has a very strong and supportive workplace. It has been incredible watching this company grow from the beginning and seeing people happy to be working here. Watching people grow and contributing to the building of their success within the company is something I love seeing every day.
